Medical Teams International (MTI) provides life-saving medical care for people in crisis—whether fleeing conflict, disaster, or living in fragile settings where the healthcare system is broken or non-existent. But to be ever-ready to deliver medical care in the moments that matter most, MTI needed a consistent, sustainable source of support. They needed an additional $1M raised annually.

To get there, they’d need to transform their regular giving product into more than a donation form. It needed to become a movement — one that didn’t just ask for generosity, but gave something back.

A place where supporters could feel connected, part of something bigger.

Our analysis showed that Americans are generous — but busy. They care deeply, but they’re overwhelmed by a world constantly in crisis.

The challenge? Find a way to cut through the noise and connect meaningfully with people who are values-driven, faith-led, and seeking to make a tangible difference — consistently.

Through deep donor research, we saw the opportunity to reaffirm MTI’s core message: that every person matters, so every heartbeat is crucial. And just like a heartbeat — small actions, when repeated over time — have the power to create a vital flow of life-changing good. By becoming part of this rhythm, donors could become a steady force for good in a chaotic world.

Introducing The Pulse

The Pulse is MTI’s dedicated community of monthly givers — steady, compassionate people whose support fuels life-saving care, every moment of the day.

Like a heartbeat, these donors are constant. Vital. Driving everything forward.

We grounded this new regular giving identity in a single, powerful truth:

Through this concept, we reminded donors of the power of small actions—repeated consistently over time—to sustain the life-changing work of Medical Teams on the frontlines.

From field updates to emotional storytelling, Pulse members are kept “on the pulse” of what’s happening—and invited to respond with heart.

Building the heartbeat

To bring The Pulse to life, we crafted a full end-to-end experience:

  • A bold new name, visual identity and positioning

  • Website optimisations and digital creative

  • A launch campaign across email, DM, and digital

  • A complete 12-month donor journey, focused on retention, connection, and upgrade potential

Every element was designed to honour the generosity of MTI’s most committed supporters — and make them feel seen, heard, and part of something powerful.
