But even though we now have 14 staff across two continents, have moved into our own office in The Cluster and are doing 500 client hours a month, we still feel like a small (but growing!) family. And even if we’re not a startup any more, we still think like one because we’re constantly evolving.
For both the jobseeker and for clients, bigger companies with better-known names might feel safer; more grounded. Many of these agencies have been around for ages, have big clients on their books and aren’t going anywhere in a hurry. Their past performance and reputation makes them feel like the secure option, and it’s understandable that people might choose to work with them over a startup that has a completely different purpose.
That is, until they realise that ntegrity’s success is entirely due to its difference.
Older, more established companies do things by the book – they think in terms of campaigns and media buying but lack a digital-first mindset. So the certainty they offer is in fact false security: great digital marketing depends on agility, trying new things and testing for success.
When we say we want our clients to succeed, we really mean it. We pick clients we believe in and we do work that is data-driven but daring. We value honesty and transparency, and are not afraid to challenge “the way things are done”. We look for fresh and unexpected ways to get better results every time, rather than resting on what we know works. And, if we don’t think a client aligns with our values or is up for the challenge, we won’t just say yes.
Where many consultants prefer to keep their clients in the dark, we’re all about sharing. Across all our services – digital audit, digital strategy and digital management – our aim is to empower clients (including some exciting brands and leading not-for-profits) with knowledge, rather than keeping everything to ourselves.
We love watching clients “get it” even more. We’ve been successful if we’ve managed to guide them towards understanding, implementing and maintaining their own digital strategy. In short, we’ve achieved our vision when they don’t need us.
It might sound counterintuitive, but this way of working is the reason we are growing so rapidly. New clients come to us because they hear about the way we work, and most importantly, about our results – not because we treated them to a fancy lunch or box seat at the AFL.
And because word of mouth is fuelling our growth at such an incredible pace, we need more talent to help us keep all engines firing. That’s why we’re looking for another digital strategist and lead digital strategist to jump on board!
The rewards for staff are hard to encapsulate in just one blog post. Working with ntegrity combines groundbreaking work with clients who are committed to making a difference in the world, along with significant professional development. We invest significant resources in mentoring, with monthly Personal Development sessions to focus on both professional and personal growth. Our staff all have their own areas of expertise: co-learning allows us to expand our knowledge and form strong bonds.
But one thing we’re especially proud of is the culture we’ve built. Our team is built on mutual respect: we celebrate one another’s talents and achievements, and also seek to learn from them. We use our words and actions to build each other up, we share the highs and the lows, we laugh on a daily basis.
We’re more than a business; we’re a family. So, we do what a great family does: we do life together, we learn from each other, and we grow alongside one another.
