Interested in applying your creative thinking and digital know-how to help Red Kite ensure no family is alone with cancer?

On the 21st of March, Red Kite and Coles are launching “Hack to Help”, a hackathon that seeks Melbourne’s digital entrepreneurs to build a platform to leverage a national campaign and create a unique online experience. Red Kite have got millions of dollars of donated media space. What missing is the technology to connect to compassionate Australians.

We’re looking for developers, hustlers, and designers to help develop a web or mobile app to help connect Redkite with Australians – more details to be released soon.

Join Red Kite, Coles at York Butter Factory this March for a weekend long hackathon with $10,000 prize money. There are limited spaces, so RSVP soon.

Will you donate your time to help Redkite cut through in the busy charity landscape, build the next generation of donors, and support families on the cancer journey?

Event Details:

– Friday March 21st 5pm – Sunday 23rd 6pm (Schedule to be confirmed Tuesday 11th March)
– All food and drink provided
– $6,000 First place winner
– 2 x $2000 merit awards
– Opportunity for winning teams to commercialise their idea and negotiate ongoing work.

Redkite is a national charity that has been providing essential support to children and young people with cancer and their families for more than 30 years. They believe that no family should go through cancer alone.

Currently Redkite isn’t able to be there for all families in need. You can help us change that, by playing a key role in the development of Redkite’s first integrated marketing campaign through a mobile or web app, and joining some of the industry’s leading marketing, advertising and media professionals who have donated their time to Redkite.
