About the role

 

We’re looking for an amazing copywriter  to join our team. This role will shape client campaigns from initial concept to messaging and content execution across the agency. Your words will help our clients inform, engage and inspire their audience.

This role will report to our Creative Lead.

 

About you

 

You’re a well-rounded copywriter with 5+ years of professional experience producing digital advertising content.  Preferably you have experience at a not-for-profit organisation, working in fundraising &/or at an agency.

You are a gun in:

  • Developing innovative campaign concepts, copy for headlines, emails, social posts, collateral materials and more, that reflect our client’s brand, voice and tone
  • Translating concepts into copy for digital 
  • Working across various channels
  • Creating innovative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies
  • Marketing copywriting
  • Understanding of best practices in digital design

The essentials

 

  • Extensive experience writing for digital with proven ability to create engaging and channel-specific content 
  • Campaign concept generation
  • Ability to prioritise, work well under pressure, think laterally and work as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with experience in managing relationships with clients
  • The ability and drive to take initiative and think creatively 
  • Approachable, collaborative and friendly personality 
  • A passion for digital and the creative and cultural industries. 
  • Comfortable providing and receiving feedback
  • Australian citizen or PR

Also a plus!

  • Experience with SEO
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • Experienced with Google Drive, Campaign Monitor, WordPress, and various CMS
  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s (writing, journalism, marketing, communications or related field) 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role with demonstration of an energetic approach to digital marketing, and ability to manage  workflows 
  • Agency experience, not essential but definitely a bonus
