Thanks for the memories…

Dear Cluster,

We’ve had just over a year with you, and boy has it been grand. It’s been a year of growth for both of us. You moved up in the world, cementing your name as Australia’s leading co-working space and we grew our team, grew our people and smashed our boldest business goals yet.

This growth has meant that the time has come to leave your beautiful and classy surrounds, and step out on our own two feet.

And it’s kinda like we’re moving out from under our parents’ comfortable roof (with the endless food supply, the rose gold furnishings and the fridge with an ice machine), into our very first grown-up home, just for ourselves. Which means it’ll be raw, it may not be as luxurious, and we’ll have to supply our own coffees and carrots. But the thing is, it’ll be ours, and when you’ve worked for something as hard as we have, then it’s pretty darn special, even if it’s not perfect.

As a final farewell, we thought we’d share 10 things we love about you

1. The panoramic views over Melbourne

Your views over Melbourne are unrivalled. Every morning, afternoon and night the ntegrity team drew inspiration from looking out over the high rises, architecture, Yarra river and glorious parks of Melbourne. When we needed to “get in the zone”, going to a prime window seat (or the prized corner window seat) would get us there. But it didn’t just inspire us, it inspired each and every client that visited us too. 20161007_093719

2. $2.50 barista made coffees

Our team is made up of brilliant minds, and those minds run on the power of caffeine. Therefore the $2.50 barista made coffees by the lovely Emily, were just the best. 20161007_142435

3. Our squad lunches on level 21

We grew closer as a team at The Cluster. Your rule about not eating at our desks, meant that every day we would eat lunch together as a team. You played such an integral role in creating a better, closer, more personal culture in our team that will go with us into all our future endeavours.

4. Spoon mints

Let us explain… There were mints and there was a spoon and they have gone down in ntegrity history as the best kind of mints there can be.   20161007_142152

5. Light and nature on the inside

The Cluster have created an inner-world of luscious greenery and tropical palms, so that when you’re inside, you feel like you’re on the outside. It’s a haven that is buzzing with productivity, yet doesn’t feel like a typical office space. We loved it so much there is an actual line in the brief to our office designer to “visit The Cluster coffee lounge for inspo”.

6. Fresh carrots on demand

Healthy and nutritious snacks to crunch on any time of the day. Special mention to the raisin toast too. 😉

7. The 3pm afternoon-itis snacks

And then there are the naughty snacks that appear right when you’re sliding into the afternoon slump. A Tim Tam makes every work day that little bit brighter. But you had better be quick – the Clusterians time their day around them!

8. Meeting rooms and phone booths aplenty

From the beautiful morning light in the Einstein room to the cosy comfort of the Tardis room, meeting rooms are usually a scarce commodity in co-working land, but with ample options, there was never a time where we felt left out in the cold to get in contact with our clients or powwow with the team. We celebrated so many wins and had so many inspired conversations at Cluster… and with an exercise bike nested in one of Level 17’s phone booths, we  even grabbed a bit of incidental exercise during our Skype sessions. 9. The community

The Cluster connected us with brilliant entrepreneurs, developers, designers and tech startups making their mark on Melbourne. Seeing their smiling faces and their brains ticking away each day made coming into the office that much more special.

10. Last, but not least – the Cluster Family

We saved the best for last, because we couldn’t leave without a final word to our amazing Cluster Family. Amber, Steph, James, Emily and the rest of the Cluster gang: your daily greetings and bubbly selves always brought smiles to our faces.
